Trackers look like spreadsheets because they are, more or less. Time runs down the page, each column is a channel and each cell holds a note, a sample and an effect.
Reading a pattern
- Each row is a tick of time, usually a sixteenth note.
- Each channel plays one sample at a time.
- The effect column bends, slides and cuts notes.
I learned music theory backwards, from effect commands to chords. It still works.

That layout makes them far friendlier than staff notation for many people. You can see the whole song at once.

Would love a follow-up in six months to see how the recap holds up.
Same here. Seems like the whole production run had it.
Six-month check is on the calendar.
Manual focus, shutter at 1/30 so it covers a full field.
The sound on this one still gives me goosebumps.

Great photos. The one of the chassis with the shield off is going on my wall.
I tried this last winter and skipped the discharge step. Do not skip the discharge step.
The tip about the grounding strap should be in bold at the top.
